"Kill me if you want!"

Eastern Ukraine: Most people have left the area around the combat zones, because life is better everywhere than near the front. Those who are left behind, often old, do not have the economic opportunity for change or simply no place to go. Or they fear for their houses and their possessions they do not want to leave behind. Twice so far I have toured the Donbass, in November 2019 and in February 2020. I wanted to see how the ordinary people cope with everyday life. On both sides of the front line I was able to visit and to speak to people.
